College campus on lockdown after person shot and killed

RADFORD, Va. (AP) - Radford University officials have put the campus on lockdown and told students to keep their doors locked as police search for a man suspected of shooting someone near the campus.

Radford Police Chief Don Goodman says the fatal shooting happened around 9 p.m. Thursday. The victim hasn't been identified.

The university said in an e-mail that the suspect was seen near the school's Bonnie Hurlbert Student Center. Police have set up checkpoints and a command center,....
