Job Description
The Department of History and Political Science at Ashland University (www.ashland.edu) seeks applications for a one (1) year Visiting Assistant Professor position in modern (post-Civil War) U.S. History. A subfield in Latin American or African history is welcome but not required. The Department emphasizes discussion-based pedagogy and the use of primary texts in all courses. The opportunity to teach graduate courses may also be available.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in History with specialty in modern US History is required
Must demonstrate excellence in and a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and advising in a traditional liberal arts setting
