  • The Center for Learning Assistance exists to help students increase efficiency with their study time and to ensure that their study skill abilities equal the challenge of college education. To fulfill this goal, the Center provides students with the opportunity to learn new academic skills or to refine old skills to assist students with the realization of their academic goals. Among the services provided are peer tutoring, contract study tables, and study skills instruction. Study skills taught by the Center for Learning Assistance include listening, note-taking, reading, and test-taking skills, plus instruction on how to manage your time, avoid procrastination, and keep motivated. Academic support services are also provided for student athletes. The Center provides selected academic accommodations for students with documented learning disabilities. In addition, the Center offers special support for students on academic probation through the Turning Point Program.
